But, in spite of all these restriction the promotion of adult websites is still possible. Here in this hub, I am going to tell you about the promotion of adult websites.
- Submission in Adult Directories: If you are running an adult website, then you must submit your website in adult directories. It will have two benefits; first your website will attract unique visitors since adult directories get visitors who are interested in adult content. Second,since adult directories are related to your theme, getting a link from them is definitely going to help your website in search engine ranking. Due to same reason, Google loves one way theme related links.
- Submission in General Directories: Most of the people think that general directories do not accept adult websites, but actually it is a wrong concept which people have formed in their image. Most of the general directories do accept adult websites; you can submit your website in Society->Sexuality category. There are many adult websites present in that particular category, hence submission is no problem.
- Write Articles on your topic: Write article and submit to as many as article directories, some of the famous article directories such as ezine are hesitant to accept adult related article. The problem is that most of the article directories may not accept your article. There can be two things which you can do one submit your adult article to as many as article directories possible, second read the article guidelines whether an article directory accept adult related articles or not. This will help you in submitting your article to those sites who accept adult articles.
- Adult Webmaster Forum:
Search for adult Webmaster forum, they are just like normal seo forums,
only difference is that all they accept adult websites only. In these
forums you can discuss, participate and find solution for the promotion of
adult websites. If you are not a member of this forum, then become one
since it is very beneficial for your adult websites. First of all, it will
build one way links for your website, second it will bring nice amount of
traffic to your website.
Promotion of Adult Website is not as tough as it looks, you just have to apply little bit of strategy and find those things which can work in promotion of adult websites.

Its all very well to say just submit to adult directories however where are these directories because I cant find them? I can understan why some of them refuse hardcore porn but not submissions of say an 'Anne Summers nature or indeed a'carry on film' sauciness

Great advice and just what I have found out of late. You will find that a lot of general submission directories do take adult sites in their sexuality category. Also there are a lot of Adult directories just google it and you will find them.
You can also submit in this directory for free. It list the most specific categories and lists only safe adult sites ( No drugs, child porn, shits or cruelity links allowed)
Don't waste your time and search through google!!

Finding adult site directories are hard. In fact many die out and become non existent. The webmaster just loses interest and gives up on keeping the site alive. i agree with the last comment, link directories are a pain in the arse to run dont make much, i know because ive had one for the last 4 years. adult dating sites like http://www.sexcontactsclub.co.uk are hard to promote.. no one wants dating site links... and most dating sites die out after there first year as webmasters discover how difficult it is to make any money in an already swamped niche.
