Getting Clients through internet for Seo and Web Design Purposes.

Starting a web design/ Seo firm has become tougher than 5 years back since competition has become tougher. Right now, if you start/launch your seo website it will take you at least 3 years to get well ranked on competitive keywords in search engine.  But, there are ways of getting business without optimizing your website. In this hub, I am going to share with you some tips for getting clients for  link building, directory submission, article/content writing, seo and web design purposes

• Freelancing Sites: Become a member of freelancing sites especially get freelancer and odesk.com. Both sites have large number of projects ranging from cut, copy data entry work to complex academic research.  For a given project, you have to bid for it describing what you can do and in how many days you can complete it. On winning the bid, freelancing site take a small percentage of amount you have bided.

• Advantage: You can reach people who are in need of you. Chances of getting a client are higher than Google.
• Disadvantage: Competition is too tough.  You have to compromise a lot on your price and in some cases you have to offer services at dirt cheap price.

• Seo Forums: Seo Forums are discussion forum where you can discuss anything about search engine, link building or any other web related issue. Seo Forums are known to provide links as well as traffic, but recently some Seo Forums (Digital, V7N, Web talk Forums) have introduced Buy/Sell Trading section where you can post your web related service ad free of cost,  get clients who can be in real need of your service. You don’t have to bid for a project, just describe what exactly you can do with your price.

• Advantage: Compared to freelancing sites, competition is low. Chances of getting a project is higher, apart from getting clients forums help you in building links and unique traffic.
• Disadvantage: Most of the people visiting forums are seo and web designers, not proper businessmen. They do not have a high budget for outsourcing, hence to get clients you have to offer your service at a reduced price than your standard market price.

• Social Networking: I already discussed about getting clients through social networking sites Face book and Linked in, post in your friend’s wall, groups about your products and services.

• Advantage: Low Competition, reach to people who are related to/ need your service regularly.
• Disadvantage: Quite Unpredictable, posting your service/product ad on group’s wall or your friend wall doesn’t guarantee you clients. Chances are you may or may not get clients. One thing you can do is post your service ad regularly on social networking sites.

The problem with Search engine optimization is that it takes time to give results. If you are keen to launch your own web design/Seo related firm it is important to get projects as soon as possible.
